Learning how to unwrap the gift.

  1. The elderly lady from my church that used to lay her hands on my pregnant belly and pray. I love to hear her ask “where’s blue eyes” and smile when she see’s Ewan or Lydia.
  2. Apple pies on sticks in the shape of hearts
  3. Making valentines cards
  4. Sharing about God’s love with our kids and their friends
  5. Pink heart shaped waffles
  6. Squeals of delight on a merry-go-round
  7. A cowboy on a merry-go-round
  8. An easy recipe for BBQ meatballs and a little boy who LOVES them
  9. The smell of chocolate chip cookies baking
  10. Little people’s anticipation of snack time and a cookie
  11. A morning spent with a friend
  12. A friend who is a nurse, who is so willing to serve and answer questions
  13. For antibiotics
  14. For an infected leg beginning to heal
  15. For a little girl who is good at taking medicine, even when it tastes yucky
  16. For plasters
  17. For our video camera
  18. For children who play contently during their quiet play time everyday
  19. For an evening at our friends house who really enjoy our children and our children really enjoy them
  20. A ladies kindness – she is willing to order and bring 11 Bible study books for our ladies bible study when she comes to visit from the States.
  21. For little girls who love to sing and dance
  22. For growth in Lydia’s confidence and attention
  23. Finding and watching a “farewell” video made for us by friends before we left Ireland in 2004. Sweet memories, many laughs, much nostalgia
  24. Fresh bed sheets and an early night
  25. Recording a dear friend talk about why Bible translation is important to her and her people
  26. Children watching old cd’s of Ewan’s birthday’s with glee
  27. Freshly baked bread sticks with spaghetti sauce
  28. A friend giving me a recipe that she thought we would like, and we did! More than a good recipe – the thoughtfulness of a friend
  29. An afternoon of children playing contently outside for 2 1/2 hours and me getting lots done that I’ve been wanting to get done for a while
  30. Children’s excitement when they hear their Daddy at the gate
  31. Slobbery goodnight kisses
  32. Tight squeezy hugs
  33. Ewans prayer for a blind boy – he has faith in the healing power of God
  34. Two yellow butterflies that delight and cheer us on our walk
  35. Husbands priorities – I appreciate the priority he places on our family in the middle of lots of demands on his time.
  36. A husband that can turn tears into laughter, even in the middle of long blonde tangled hair
  37. Ewan’s prayer of faith for instant healing when he was sick
  38. A little girl who tries to sing before talking
  39. Row, row, row your boat

  44. That I get to teach then for a third time – such a privilege

  53. Bright orange tropical flowers that grow in our garden
  54. A Saturday with alone time.
  55. Lydia’s thoughtful questions about the cross and sin – evidence that she is absorbing, thinking….
  56. Good chats about Katies past with the older two
  57. 3 hours of outdoor content water play
  58. 2 hours of sitting reading, watching, enjoying the content water play
  59. The opportunity to help a friend
  60. A friend bearing a basket of food on a day when I don’t feel well.
  61. Rain, rain and more rain
  62. Cooler temperatures – again!!
  63. Katie’s excitement to see Daddy come off the football pitch
  64. Dress up time and Katie fussing till she gets to dress up too 🙂 She loves to join in.
