Today I thank God for …

In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike Matthew 5.45

This is a little embarrassing to confess as an Ulster lad but I thank God for the rain. While living in NI this was not really something that was exceptional or something I would necesarily want to thank God for but I don’t live in NI currently. Here in the Philippines the story is a little different. We are in the tropics so rain should not be a problem, but, Mr. El Nino seems to have other ideas. Earlier last year we had power cuts every day because … there wasn’t enough rain. Most of the electricity in this city comes from water and without rain there is no water. Currently we enjoy regular electricity – I thank God for the rain.

Also, here in the Davao we have the second cleanest water in the world coming out of our taps. And this water comes from the rain too 🙂

Thanks God for setting up the water cycle. Thank you for rain.

  1. Amen and amen!
